Malachys Diary page 6

Mal was then on the move again. This time he would be leaving home to start his new life at “Sense”. We were delighted for him to have a wonderful chance, it was my dream for him that his life would be fulfilled with all the things he would enjoy and also to see him having the quality of life he deserved. He has shown many times through the years how capable he is in all that he has achieved, but without the wonderful staff who work with him in day services and in his home he would not have been able to achieve all he has achieved. We are eternally grateful to them all.

Mal now lives in a house with five other students where all there needs are met. Mal is a very happy and content man.

In the last few years Mal has lost the sight in his left eye and now has glaucoma in his right eye. We are hoping they eye drops he is using will stop it from getting worse. Mal uses his cane when he is out or when travelling home with me.
